Bring Hope to the Kenyan Coast

Malindi and Vipingo Restoration and Renovation Projects

An invitation to share the hope of Jesus to 50 young Kenyan mothers and 350 school children!

MCF extends Jesus’s message of hope throughout all of Kenya—all the way to the coastline along the Indian Ocean, where hope and light remain undefeated in the cities of Vipingo and Malindi, the locations of two other MCF campuses.

In these places, MCF is serving as a real hope for children and young girls who are survivors of extreme poverty, spiritual oppression and witchcraft, sexual abuse, and human trafficking.

MCF MALINDI

MCF Malindi is a beacon of hope to young mothers, many of whom are survivors of rape, sex trafficking, and incest. Once destitute and left on the streets to fend for themselves, this courageous group of 50 women and their children now have a safe place to stay, three meals a day, and vocational training in cosmetology and sewing. They also enjoy times of worship and discipleship.

MCF Malindi is currently at its full capacity, but there are many more young women with children that we want to help. To meet this growing need, we are constructing a new classroom for vocational training and expanding our current dormitories. The proposed cost of the construction and renovation is $56,520.

MCF VIPINGO

Children who once had no chance at receiving an education attend an MCF school in Vipingo. All 350 of them receive uniforms—in MCF’s characteristic blue and orange!—, school supplies, and a hearty lunch at no cost. Most importantly, they learn about the love of Jesus—a rare gift in the Muslim-dominated area.

The school at Vipingo needs extensive repairs to its rusty, leaky roofs and its floors, which have holes in them. In addition, as our MCF cooks feed more and more children, we have outgrown the tiny tin shed kitchen. Our plans are to build a permanent structure where meals can be prepared. The proposed cost of the construction and restoration is $127,000.
