35 Acres Could Change Everything for These 69 Girls | MCF Malindi

On the coast of Kenya, 69 young mothers and 37 children are rebuilding their lives after trafficking, abuse, and abandonment. At MCF’s Malindi Women’s Center, they’ve found safety, community, and hope. Now we have a chance to give them something more — land, food, and a future they can grow with their own hands.

⚡ RIGHT NOW: Every dollar you give is being matched up to $100,000. Your gift doubles instantly.

🌱 The Malindi Farm Project — $345,000 Goal
We have the opportunity to purchase 35 acres of land adjacent to our Malindi campus. This isn’t just farmland. It’s food security, vocational training, and lasting independence for these women and their children.

Right now, their daily diet is largely rice and beans. Fruits and vegetables aren’t a regular part of their meals — not by choice, but by circumstance. This land changes that completely.

With this land, the women will:
🥭 Grow fruits — passion fruit, oranges, mangoes
🥬 Cultivate vegetables — kale, carrots, spinach, potatoes
🌽 Farm 10 acres of maize for food security
🐐 Raise goats and chickens for protein and nutrition
💧 Access reliable irrigation through a reservoir dam
📚 Learn farming skills they’ll carry for the rest of their lives

Surplus produce will also be sold to the surrounding community and local hotels — creating a sustainable local food economy that extends far beyond the campus walls.

Project Budget Breakdown:
🏡 $150,000 — Land Acquisition (36 acres)
💧 $105,000 — Water & Irrigation Infrastructure
🔒 $42,000 — Security Fencing
⚡ $18,000 — Electrical Infrastructure
🌱 $30,000 — Crop Development
Total: $345,000
