Gone Unexpectedly
Psalm 34:18 (NIV): The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Raphael, a cherished colleague since 2007, who tragically left us in July 2024. Raphael’s journey at MCF was marked by dedication and service, from a casual worker to a cook and most recently a carpenter in our vocational training program.
On July 4, 2024, Raphael suffered a fatal accident at the MCF Ndalani construction site. Despite our efforts, he passed away during emergency surgery, highlighting the limitations of our local healthcare infrastructure.
Raphael leaves behind a grieving family: his wife, two children, and eight dependents, including three children of his terminally ill sister who also passed away on July 22, 2024. The MCF family covered his medical and burial expenses and initiated the care of one of his children.
This tragedy underscores the need for accessible medical facilities in our community. We are committed to realizing the vision of Mully Mission Hospital to provide comprehensive care and save lives.
Raphael’s memory will live on in the lives he touched and the work he contributed to MCF. As we mourn his loss, we celebrate his life and the positive impact he had on our community. May his soul rest in peace, and may his family find solace in the love and support of the MCF family and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Let us pray for the realization of the Mully Mission Hospital’s vision to provide accessible and comprehensive care.
