KENYA’S GENERAL ELECTION IS ON AUGUST 9

Prayer Request
Please stand with us in prayer that God will give us God-fearing leaders who will drive the agenda of God upon Kenya and, secondly, that they will be no blood shed or violence after the elections.
Background
Kenya is set to hold the general election on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. The periods after elections have been the most violent in Kenya’s history, with thousands killed and hundreds of thousands displaced in election seasons since 2007. The dawn of multi-party democracy in Kenya in 1992 led to the ethnicization of politics along tribal lines. Political parties have amalgamated around tribal powerbrokers, leading to an ever-changing political landscape where inter-ethnic alliances were formed.
1 Timothy 2:1-4 (KJV)
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; [2] For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. [3] For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; [4] Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
