MCF JULY 2022 MEDICAL CAMP
Prayer Request
We pray a prayer of thanksgiving for each person or organization who prayed for this medical team and helped raise finances or donated drugs and other gifts for the MCF 2022 medical camp and the MCF fraternity. Above all, we thank God for healing each patient who attended the MCF camp.
Background
In the month of July 2022, a Canadian medical team worked with our Kenyan medical team and a small group of US volunteers and attended to about 1,584 patients from the surrounding communities for a period of six days. The team dedicated the first two days of the medical camp to medical check-ups and treatment of all the MCF children and co-workers.
Alongside treating the patient, the team also ministered to the sick by preaching the word of God and praying for them. There was also free lunch served to all who attended the camp. In addition, covid- 19 sensitization and vaccination were available for all who desired to be vaccinated. Many patients were grateful for the correct diagnosis, lab tests, treatment and medication that was for free.
In Kenya, many people get incapacitated or succumb to death simply because they do not have access to medical care or cannot afford it in the first place. There was a great need for eye and dental clinics as many patients inquired about the same. We trust God that the future team will have these specialties as they are in high demand.
As the MCF fraternity, we want to sincerely thank both the Canadian Medical team and the Kenyan team that worked tirelessly during these six days. Thank you for giving the patients your time, service, talent, and love. May God bless you immensely.
