MCF Yatta Graduation Is Here

Carol was born in the year 2000, in Kisii County. Her father deserted the family leaving behind her poor jobless mum to take care of 6 children. School became a far fetched dream as her mother could not afford to feed and educate all 6 children. Thus, Carol was forced to drop out of school in grade seven to help her mother fend for food for her younger siblings.

In trying to put food on the table, she was forced to engage in commercial sex in order to earn a living. In the process she became pregnant. This further strained her relationship with her mother as she had become an added liability to the poor struggling family.

Carol was rescued in MCF together with her infant baby and was enrolled in Mully College Vocational training on 29th May 2017. Since then her life changed and was transformed. She is one of the top students who will be graduating on 28th October 2019. She is multi-skilled in dress making and design, hair dressing and beauty therapy. Everything she seems to lay her hands on, she emerges on top.

As she is reintegrated back to the society, she is a confident, hardworking, hopeful, focused and a born-again Christian, who now loves her child and  is ready to change her family. Our prayer for Carol and her other 120 graduating mates, is that they will light a bright candle in their communities after they graduate. We also pray that we shall have partners who will be able to stand with the graduating class to help them start up their businesses.

Hebrews 6:10 (KJV)

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
