THANKSGIVING: RAINS AT LAST!
Please join us in thanking God for the continuous showers and praying that the rains continue long enough to allow the crops to mature. Let us join our hands in prayer that the rains do not cause catastrophe in Kenya, for we know that God’s blessings bring no sorrow.
As the rains began to fall in our beloved country, we shouted joyfully. God has indeed answered our prayers. The Thika River is once again at capacity after many years. The long-awaited rains arrived on March 11th, 2023, purging our land of drought. The drought has been exacerbated by five consecutive failed rainy seasons. Many people have become impoverished because millions of people’s livelihoods were devastated. Every evening, roughly 150 children and 50 adults from the surrounding community visit MCF Ndalani for a plate of food. The long rainy season is critical for Kenya’s agricultural sector because it helps in much-needed food security.
Leviticus 26:4-5 AMPC
I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase and the trees of the field yield their fruit. And your threshing [time] shall reach to the vintage and the vintage [time] shall reach to the sowing time, and you shall eat your bread to the full and dwell in your land securely.
Proverbs 10:22 AMPC
The blessing of the Lord-it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it].
