The Christmas Tree

It is that time of the year when we put up our Christmas tree. A tree that is green and beautifully decorated. It is a joyous time when we decorate the tree with assorted ornaments and the Christmas lights, not to mention the bright star that stands majestically at the very top.

Sipping a warm drink and gazing at the beauty of the tree  reminds  us  of the  words  of the Master “I am the vine, you are the branches, apart from me you can do nothing.” Branches that are detached from the Christmas tree, are not part of that tree! Where would we hang all the beautiful ornaments if the branches were detached? God makes all things beautiful in his time.

As we end the year, MCF can say God has  continually  decorated our lives  to  bring out his beauty in us. Let the Christmas lights remind us that we  are  the  light  of this world and thus we cannot be hidden. Let the big bright star on the top of the Christmas tree, remind us that Jesus is our morning star and we cannot live  in darkness.

Our prayer is that we all see the  true  meaning  of Christmas.  “God became  man that he may give us his very identify, nature and life.”

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

1 John 5:11-12 (NIV)

And this is the testimony: God  has  given  us  eternal  life,  and  this  life  is  in  his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life
