As we give thanks to the Lord for the four who have successfully been enrolled in the vocational training program in the hotel industry in Germany, we also pray for the remaining group of six to keep their hopes alive and that many opportunities will continue to open up for others to travel the world as they work and study. Their dreams, too, shall surely come to pass in transforming the lives of their families in Kenya
In 2016 a group of MCF beneficiaries who had just completed grade twelve were offered the opportunity to study the German language. The goal was to qualify to live, study and work in Germany eventually. As a family, the students kick-started their preparations, studying the German language and beginning visa preparations.
Due to the challenges of acquiring passports and visas, during the Covid-19 pandemic, the program was halted. However, the Lord God has come through for us, and now we have a reason to smile and joy in Him. Four beneficiaries received their German visas in October 2022 and have since travelled to Germany. One travelled earlier, and he is training in working with robotic machines. This occasion has revived the hopes of the other six beneficiaries in the program to trust and hope in the Lord as they wait patiently for their appointed time.
All our stories and life events are those of hope that God has appointed, will not be cut short and will come to pass.
Proverbs 23:18 (NIV)
There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.
