The Weather Man
Thika River meanders for kilometers and is the primary source of water we use to irrigate both MCF Ndalani and Yatta Farms.
The weather man is warning us of an increase in our temperatures like Kenya has not witnessed in the recent years. The waters of the Thika River are diminishing quickly forcing the Government to declare a ban on using Thika River water for irrigation. After a series of meetings, we have been permitted a minimum intake of water three times a week. With the receding waters, a total ban may be imminent.
We join together to pray that the anticipated April long rains will bring the much-needed relief, before the Thika River dries up.
Isaiah 49:8,10 (KJV)
Thus, saith the Lord, in an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages; 10 They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
10 They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
