Three Siblings

Our MCF community workers received the following response when they found three siblings staying home while school was going on. “We have been engaging in all manner of odd jobs; collecting firewood, drawing water on our backs, working on other people’s farms just to ensure that we have food for our family. We have no money to pay for our school fees or to buy school uniforms. That is why we have not been in school since the year began.”
The three siblings have both parents; however, the mother is unemployed while their father is uneducated and unemployed as well.
MCF has stepped up to provide this family with weekly food supplies to enable the siblings to return to school. MCF has also given the father an opportunity to work on our farm to sustain his wife’s special diet and the family’s basic needs. In addition MCF is assisting the mother with the necessary medical attention that she needs.
Kindly, pray for God to sustain their family as they all received Jesus as the Lord and Savior of their lives. Also, pray that MCF will always be able to assist children living in underprivileged conditions due to the poverty they have been born into.
Ezekiel 34:26-29 (NIV)
I will make them and the places surrounding my hill a blessing. I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing. 27 The trees will yield their fruit and the ground will yield its crops; the people will be secure in their land. They will know that I am the Lord, when I break the bars of their yoke and rescue them from the hands of those who enslaved them. 28 They will no longer be plundered by the nations, nor will wild animals devour them. They will live in safety, and no one will make them afraid. 29 I will provide for them a land renowned for its crops, and they will no longer be victims of famine in the land or bear the scorn of the nations.
