A Testimony of Transformation: The Journey of Jeremiah and Kivinya

Isaiah 61:3 (NIV) – “They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendour.”
Born in 1988 into a poverty-stricken polygamous family of 22 children, Jeremiah’s early life was marked by abandonment and survival. After losing his mother and enduring a troubled home—where his alcoholic father sold illicit brew—Jeremiah fled to the streets in search of food and shelter. His journey took him through herding livestock and hawking goods, but hardship followed closely.
In 2007, as political violence erupted across Kenya, Jeremiah ended up in an internally displaced persons (IDP) camp in Eldoret. Mully Children’s Family (MCF), moved by God’s love and compassion, came to serve those affected. Jeremiah was rescued into MCF, where he found dignity, education, and family.
Around the same time, Kivinya was also rescued by MCF from a background of neglect and illiteracy. She found her voice in song and her purpose in the mission choir. A worshipper and Christian songwriter, Kivinya’s path soon intertwined with Jeremiah’s. After graduating from MCF, their shared past became the soil for a love rooted in healing and purpose.
With guidance from Daddy Mulli and Mama Esther, the couple married and were blessed with four beautiful children. Their journey has not been without trials—setbacks in their businesses brought seasons of despair. But each time, they turned to the only parents they had—Daddy and Mummy Mulli—who welcomed them with open arms. Through MCF’s support, they regained their footing. Today, they run thriving beauty and fashion businesses that not only support their family, but also train others, including students at Mully College. Their lives stand as proof that God restores, rebuilds, and rewards.
Let us lift our hearts in gratitude for the ministry of Mully Children’s Family—a beacon of Christ’s love in a hurting world. For every child rescued from despair, every broken life restored, and every testimony like Jeremiah and Kivinya’s, we say: to God be all the glory. We thank God for Daddy Mulli and Mummy Esther, whose obedience to the call of love has become a shelter for thousands. And we thank God for every cheerful partner and giver whose prayers, generosity, and faith continue to fuel this mission of loving like Jesus. Through MCF, God is writing new stories—of beauty from ashes, healing from brokenness, and destiny from destruction.
