Exams Season: Standing With Our Students

Isaiah 40:29 (NIV) – “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”

The atmosphere across all MCF campuses has shifted — we are officially in exam season. There’s a quiet buzz in the air, the sound of pages turning, footsteps headed to prep rooms, and whispered prayers before early morning revision sessions. Our students are preparing to take the Kenya National Examinations, which will be held throughout October and November 2025.

This season is significant. For many of these children, the journey to this point has been marked by hardship — hunger, displacement, abandonment, loss. Yet by God’s grace, they now walk into exam rooms wearing uniforms, holding pens, and believing in a future they never thought possible. What a testimony.

This year, 866 students from MCF will sit for national exams: 150 learners in Grade 3, 137 learners in Grade 6, 110 learners in Grade 9, and 469 candidates in Grade 12. Each number represents a name, a face, a miracle. Some are sitting for their very first national assessment. Others, like our Grade 12 students, are on the edge of a new chapter — preparing to leave secondary school and step into higher education, vocational training, or new paths yet to be explored. They carry dreams of becoming doctors, teachers, engineers, pastors, artists, and even judges.

We are incredibly proud of them — not just for their academic achievements, but for their resilience, courage, and character growth. These young people are overcomers, and we believe they are part of God’s plan to bring light and transformation into this world.

As they prepare, we ask that you, our prayer partners and extended family, lift them in prayer. Pray for peace to guard their hearts, for focus, understanding, and memory recall. Pray for their teachers, who have devoted their time and love to preparing them. And pray that whatever the outcome, each child will know they are deeply loved and destined for good things.
