I Find Peace in Knowing You Are in a Safe Place

Romans 8:38-39 (NIV): “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Agnes moved to Nairobi after completing her education, where she raised three children: Joylene (15), Kennedy (10), and Macdonald (4). In 2021, she was diagnosed with malignant papillary adenocarcinoma. Her husband abandoned the family, and due to her health, Agnes and her children moved back to her parents’ home. With help, she underwent two surgeries, depleting their resources.

The MCF’s community health department discovered their situation in February 2024 and enrolled them in a support program. On May 23, 2024, Agnes’s children were rescued into MCF Ndalani after dropping out of school due to unpaid fees.

Despite her illness, Agnes remained spiritually strong, sharing her faith in Jesus.

Agnes passed away on July 15, 2024, and with MCF’s support, she was laid to rest on July 23, 2024. Her children, especially Joylene, find comfort in Agnes’s words: “You may wake up one morning and not find me, but I find peace in knowing you are in a safe place.”

Let us pray for Agnes’s children and all the children under MCF’s care who have lost their parents. May they fulfill God’s purpose in their lives and find comfort through the Holy Spirit.
